Monthly, we collect what we call "The Bread Pan" offering. It is a second collection on a Sunday morning using actual bread (loaf) pans earmarked for a specific ministry. We select a different ministry each month. The 2010 mission team went to Henderson Settlement from June 27th through July 3rd. Photos of the successful trip can be seen at the church in the hallway to the office. The Missions committee would like your help in making up Christmas shoe boxes for the "Shoe Box Ministry". These boxes will help children around the world have a better Christmas. We are asking you to buy items that will fit in a Christmas wrapped shoe box. Some suggestions are: pencils, pens, scissors, small calculators, erasers, crayons, paper, markers, ball, jump rope, small games, puzzles, small cars, and other small toys, personal items, etc. Items should be appropriate for girls or boys. Buy your items now - don't wait until the last moment. The FOOD PANTRY is in need of any and all non-perishable food items.
Each month the missions committee collects needed items for local charitable groups. So far the response from members and others has been very good. We really appreciate all your help and support. Without your help we would not be able to support many of our projects. If you would like to become part of this helping group please let us know. We meet the second Tuesday, every other month. EBay sales. Please donate items valuing $10 or more to the missions committee. We will sell them on eBay in an effort to raise funds for our designated mission work.Change Jars: Take a change jar and fill it up with your loose change and return it to the church on 5th Sunday collection days: January 31, May 30, August 29, and October 31, 2010.
